The Fair Estimate Act requires that all patients who are self pay ( have no insurance) or have insurance but are not submitting to an insurance company for reimbursement, be provided a fair estimate of their annual costs. This is only a rough estimate. It is difficult to provide estimates in mental health. This law was written to suit certain “medical procedures”, and surprise bills in a hospital ER. Nonetheless, a good faith estimate will be provided to you, if you enter treatment with Dr. Paras., and meet the criteria requiring one.
The cost of the evaluation is explained in the evaluation consent form.
